Italian plays offered in repertory
Kairos Italy Theater (KIT), New York’s preeminent Italian theater company, is presenting three works under the umbrella title AlieNation at the Cherry Lane Studio (38 Commerce St., Manhattan). The works explore themes of perception, alienation and integration, and their consequences in different social and geographical contexts. The three plays, directed by Laura Caparrotti, will be presented in repertory. They include Luigi Pirandello’s classic Enrico IV, adapted by Caparrotti and Rocco Sisto, who will play the title role. A double bill of new one-acts—A Story of Love and Soccer by Michele Santeramo—and The Journey I Never Made by Paolo Bignami fill out the bill. Tickets ($20, $15 students/seniors) may be purchased by calling OvationTix at (866) 811-4111 or visiting kitheater.com, which has a complete list of dates and times. —Edward Karam
