New: Rave Theater Festival to run through Aug. 25
The inaugural Rave Theater Festival begins Friday at the Clemente Soto Veléz Cultural and Educational Center (107 Suffolk St. between Rivington and Delancey) on the Lower East Side. The festival, which will run until Aug. 25, features drama (Doppelgänger, Back), comedy (Stormy Weather, The Tycoons!), solo performances (Waiting for Johnny Depp), musicals (Oceanborn; Big Shot: The Musical), family-friendly shows (911 Gnomes: A Christmas Emergency), and immersive theater (Noir Town).
