SYNOPSIS: A lawyer. A secretary. A late night at the office. GIRL IN HEAT combines sexual intrigue and psychological drama with unexpected humour to break the growing tension. Joseph and Marilyn, all alone in his law office, engage in a steamy series of foreplay games with each other. Before long, they discover that their connection is much deeper than they ever could have imagined...
CAST and CREW: Nelson Avidon is the author of several plays and screenplays, and a member of The Dramatist's Guild. He can be seen in the films Keeping the Faith with Ben Stiller, and the forthcoming Our Italian Husband with Brooke Shields. He is a lifetime member of The Actors Studio where he appeared in Salome with Al Pacino and Etudes with Faye Dunaway. His other stage credits include leads in the NY premieres of Ghost on Fire by Michael Weller, Black Water by Joyce Carol Oates, and Aliyah at Ensemble Studio Theatre. Nelson was Associate Artistic Director of the Hypothetical Theatre Company from 1998-2000, where he directed several New York premieres. For more info visit www.nelsonavidon.com.
Robert Walden was nominated for three Emmy Awards for Lou Grant and two Cable Ace Awards for Brothers. He won Best Director for Dylan, the first of six plays he directed in Los Angeles, which also received three LA Critic's Circle nominations and seven Dramalogue Award nominations. He's directed and written scripts for shows including Twilight Zone, Who's the Boss? and Beauty and the Beast. As an actor, he's appeared in over forty films including All the President's Men and Hospital, as well as guest appearances on TV shows including Law & Order and West Wing. He's performed Off-Broadway and at regional theaters including The Mark Taper, ACT in San Francisco, Cincinnati Playhouse and Arena Stage. He teaches acting and consults on major studio films.
Cheryl Leibert received her MFA from The Actors Studio Drama School and her BA in Theater and Psychology from Skidmore College. She has appeared in a variety of theatrical productions and several films. Some of her favorite past performances include: A Bright Room Called Day (Agnes), How I Learned to Drive (Lil Bit), Bringing it All Back Home (Susy), and Merchant of Venice (Jessica).
